Six fire engines and around 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a block of flats on Queen Elizabeth Street in Bermondsey this afternoon.
The fire damaged part of a six room flat on the seven storey building's fourth floor.
The Brigade was called at 1536 and the fire was under control by 1641. Crews from Dockhead, Poplar, Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, New Cross and Old Kent Road fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
