Seat belts saved a father and two children from serious injury after their car overturned on Craven Park Road in Harlesden yesterday.

The family had escaped the vehicle before firefighters arrived. They were all taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

Park Royal Watch Manager Dave Kelly said:

“Despite the car completely flipping over onto its roof the father and two children only had minor injuries thanks to them all wearing seatbelts.

“As firefighters we have all witnessed serious road traffic collisions where people have been badly injured or killed when they haven’t belted up. It’s important that everyone makes sure they and their children always wear seat belts and drive safely at all times.”

The Brigade was called at 1519 and the incident was over at 1534. Firefighters from Park Royal and Wembley fire stations were at the scene.
