Firefighters escorted around 50 people to safety after a fire at a block of flats with underground garages on Three Colt Street in Limehouse, in the early hours of this morning.
Fortunately no-one was injured.
An entire lock up garage on the lower ground floor was damaged by fire.
Two fire engines from Poplar and Shadwell fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0122 and the fire was under control at 0209. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
