Over 70 firefighters and officers tackled a fire in a row of commercial units on Minerva Road, Park Royal.

One of the units in the block was completely alight and a second was partly alight. Thankfully there were no injuries.

Station Manager Pete Rickard who was at the scene said:

”Firefighters worked hard to contain the blaze and stop it spreading to adjacent units. The quick deployment of two aerial appliances helped ensure this fire was contained really quickly. Crews will be damping down hotspots for a number of hours.”

10 fire engines from stations including Acton, North Kensington, Willesden, Wembley and Hammersmith fire stations were at the scene.

The Brigade was called at 1851 and the fire was under control at 2204.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
