Four fire engines and 20 firefighters attended a fire at a block of flats on The Drive in Walthamstow, this afternoon.
The fire affected a four roomed flat on the ground floor, half of which was damaged by fire.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters from Woodford, Walthamstow, Leytonstone and Leyton fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1542 and the 1628. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
