Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with a house blaze on Hainault Road in Leytonstone. Part of the first floor was damaged by fire.
Three people left the property before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 0912 and the fire was under control by 1019. Fire crews from Leyton, Leytonstone and Homerton fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
