Firefighters tackle blaze at derelict building in Erith

Twenty-one firefighters tackled a fire at a derelict building on West Street in Erith, this evening.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.

Four fire engines from Erith, Bexley, East Greenwich and Plumstead fire stations attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1824 and the fire was under control at 1929. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
