Campervan damaged in Hither Green fire

A campervan was damaged in a fire on Hither Green Lane in Hither Green, this afternoon.

Two propane cylinders involved in the blaze were cooled and removed as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Lewisham, Lee Green, Greenwich and Forest Hill fire stations attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1637 and the fire was under control at 1735. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
