Twelve people escaped uninjured from a fire at a block of flats on Grange Road in Bermondsey, early this morning.
The occupants left the building before the arrival of the Brigade.
A small area of the ground floor entrance hall and two cars in the rear car park were damaged by fire.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Old Kent Road, Dowgate, Whitechapel and Peckham fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0240 and the fire was under control at 0318. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
