Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from a house fire on Spruce Hills Road in Walthamstow, E17 on Friday evening.
The fire gutted the first floor of the semi-detached property and the woman was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 1958 and the fire was under control by 2108. Two fire engines and ten firefighters from Walthamstow and Woodford fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
