Firefighters were called to a fire in a block of flats on Penton Rise in Kings Cross, yesterday evening.
Part of a flat on the third floor was alight and sadly, crews found two people who were pronounced dead at the scene.
21 firefighters and officers attended the fire, with engines from Euston, Islington, Shoreditch and Soho fire stations.
The Brigade was called at 1905 and the fire was under control at 2003.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
