Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued two men from a house fire via a ladder, on Atkinson Road in Canning Town, yesterday morning.
Two other people left the house before the arrival of the Brigade and fortunately there were no reports of any injuries.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.
Fire engines from Stratford and Poplar fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1031 and the fire was under control at 1102. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
