Fire crews were called to a nine storey building on Bridge Walk in Deptford this morning following reports of a smell of burning coming from an office on the second floor.
Firefighters put out a small fire on the building's first floor.
Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Deptford, Greenwich, New Cross and Old Kent Road fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0909 and the fire was under control by 1101. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
