Fifteen safely evacuate from fire at Bow bar and restaurant

Fifteen people safely evacuated from a fire at a bar and restaurant in a warehouse on Dace Road in Bow, this afternoon.

The fire affected the ground floor of the building, part of which was damaged by fire. Fortunately there were no injuries.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Homerton, Bethnal Green and Leyton fire stations attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1536 and the fire was under control at 1710. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
