A garden shed was badly damaged after a fire broke out in a garden shed on Paragon Road in Hackney on Monday afternoon. Fortunately no one was hurt but the shed and its contents were destroyed.

Fire investigators continue to work to establish a cause, but initial suggestions are that the fire was accidental and may have started in an electrical appliance.

The Brigade was called at 1611 and the fire was under control by 1655. Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters attended the incident from Homerton, Bethnal Green and Stoke Newington stations.
