A fire engine from Brixton fire station was involved in a collision with a car on Brixton Rd at 1805 this evening.
Crews released a man from the car who was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. There were no other injuries in the car.
The engine was en route to a fire in a flat on Aytoun Road, Stockwell and an engine from Clapham was sent in its place. The Aytoun Road fire was also attended Brixton’s second fire engine which was mobilized at the same time as Brixton’s first engine.
The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
