Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters were called to a fire on Church Street in Croydon during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The fire badly damaged a ground floor shop and half of a flat above it.
The Brigade was called at 0010 and the fire was under control by 0149. Fire crews from Croydon, Norbury, Woodside, Addington and Brixton fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
