Every year we mark Black History Month, a celebration important to the Brigade, and this open day at Islington Fire Station is one of a number of events taking place in October.

Join us for fantastic music, as well as delicious African and Caribbean food and sweet treats. There will be a number of African Caribbean stalls selling items such as books, arts and crafts, clothing and beauty products. For little ones, there will be face painting and a treasure hunt. You will also have the opportunity to register for stem cell donation with the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT).

We will also be offering you the usual safety advice. Firefighters will talk about our work and show you around. And, there will a fire engine on display for everyone to have a good look at, and may be even get in.
