Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a garage in East Road in Feltham.
The garage and one car were destroyed by fire. Two cylinders were cooled to an ambient temperature by firefighters as cylinders can exploded when exposed to heat. Approximately 40 residents were evacuated from surrounding premises as a precaution.
One man and one woman left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1339 and the fire was under control at 1632. Fire crews from Feltham, Heston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
