Manor Park – house fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Romford Road in Manor Park last night.

The fire severely damaged the ground floor and fire crews managed to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent properties. Thankfully there was no one in the property at the time of the blaze.

Police officers evacuated surrounding homes before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 2339 and the fire was under control by 0022. Firefighters from Ilford, Stratford and East Ham fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
