Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flats in Portland Grove in Stockwell.
Part of a flat on the 19th floor of the building was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1259 and the fire was under control at 1355. Fire crews from Brixton, Lambeth, Clapham and Battersea fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
