Two fire engines and 14 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a flat in Homefield Road, Hayes this morning.
A small blaze broke out in the kitchen of a first floor flat. Sadly a man was confirmed dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 0659 and the incident was over at 0801. Two fire engines from Southall Fire Station attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
