Tower Bridge – leaking oil sets off alarm

Fire at commercial property

Firefighters were called to Tower Bridge last night due to leaking hydraulic oil which had set the fire and gas system alarm off.

Fire crews ventilated the room and left the duty of care with on scene staff.

The Brigade was called at 2305 and the incident was over by 0115. Fire crews from Dockhead, Whitechapel, Old Kent Road and Shoreditch fire stations were at the scene.
