Firefighters have dealt with a small fire on the roof of a mosque on Plumstead Road in Plumstead.
Station Manager Gary Thompson, who was at the scene said:
“Firefighters quickly dealt with the small fire on the roof of the mosque. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
The Brigade was called at 1459 and the fire was under control by 1546. Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from East Greenwich and Plumstead fire stations attended the incident.
