National Gallery – crews investigating smell of smoke

Firefighters were called to reports of a faint smell of smoke coming from an office in the National Gallery this morning

Crews investigated the building but no fire was found. Around 200 people left the gallery before the Brigade arrived.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Soho, Lambeth and Euston fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 0914.
