Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers tackled a fire in a range of market stalls adjacent to Charing Cross ticket office.
Firefighters contained the fire to the stalls. Around 10 people evacuated unhurt before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 2106 and the fire was under control by 2221. Fire crews from Soho and Lambeth attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
