Six fire engines and 35 firefighters were called to a office block fire on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch this morning.
Part of the basement was damaged by the blaze. One person left the building before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 0507 and the fire was under control by 0732. Shoreditch, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, Islington, Euston and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
