Come and join us at Stanmore fire station for an open day on Sunday, 2 September from 12:00 - 16:00.
There will be 10 historic fire appliances on display. There will also be two demonstrations, one will be a standard pump and ladder drill with smoke and rescues, the other will be a race between a Victorian steam fire engine and our new fire appliance to set up lifting from open water and getting a jet over the tower.
Firefighters will be on hand to give out fire safety advice as well as...
There will also be re-enactors in different period fire gear as well as the Outreach team, the Massey Shaw Education Trust. Local community organisations will also be there on the day and they include the Asian Fire service Association, Hindu Council of Brent, London Ambulance Service and the Met Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.
We want our fire station to be at the heart of our community, so come along, bring the whole family and lets enjoy the summer together.
