FireworksHundreds of people across Great Britain are injured in incidents involving fireworks each year and more than half of those injured are children. LFB is dedicated to ensuring that fireworks are always stored, sold and used in a safe and responsible way, and we work with partner agencies across London in preparation for major events such as Guy Fawkes Night, Diwali, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year. This work is vital to reduce the anti-social use of fireworks and its impact on the lives of Londoners. Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships are crucial in sharing information and identifying the best way to tackle this issue. In 2007 the Brigade worked jointly with the GLA and other London organisations to produce publicity materials and guidance on creating effective partnerships to tackle the negative impact of fireworks on the city. The Halloween and Fireworks section on the Mayor of London's website explains how this partnership works. Publicity materials, leaflets, poster and guidance manual.
