The 17 members of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, which runs the London Fire Brigade were confirmed by the Mayor today (20 June 2007) at City Hall.
London Fire Commissioner Sir Ken Knight said: "I am delighted that this matter has been resolved and that the Fire Authority can hold its annual meeting tomorrow."
The Mayor appointed Assembly Member, Angie Bray, to replace Assembly Member Robert Blackman on the Authority.
The Authority London Assembly Members are therefore Val Shawcross (Lab, who is also appointed as the Chair); Murad Qureshi (Lab); Darren Johnson (Green); Peter Hulme-Cross (One London); Brian Coleman (Con); Angie Bray (Con); Roger Evans (Con); Geoff Pope (Lib Dem), and Mike Tuffrey (Lib Dem).
London Borough Councillors Colin Tandy (Con), Maurice Heaster (Con), Ed Butcher (Lib Dem), John Whelan (Con), Liaquat Ali (Lab), Betty Evans-Jacas (Lab), Rebekah Gilbert (Con), and Navin Shah (Lab) remain as Members of the Authority.
