Drop in at Shadwell fire station for free cycle safety advice

24 April 2017

Cyclists are being offered free road safety advice at Shadwell fire station today (Monday 24 April).

The ‘Exchanging Places’ cycle safety event, run in partnership with the Metropolitan Police, aims to educate cyclists about sharing the capital’s busy roads with light and heavy goods vehicles by focusing on traffic awareness and safe positioning on the highway.

There will also be bicycle mechanics on hand to carry out repairs while you wait and  free security bike marking.

Hot and cold drinks will be available and firefighters will be offering fire safety advice.

The event runs between 3pm and 6pm today at Shadwell Fire Station, 290 Cable Street E1.
