The LIFE (Local Intervention Fire Eduation) programme was launched in Tower Hamlets in response to antisocial behaviour against our firefighters.

The course has quickly expanded to operate in all London boroughs.

Working in partnership with the local community, partners and sponsors enable LIFE to run successful and engaging courses, which benefit young Londoners.

'Long term impact of my actions'

Our programme has helped over 12,000 young people improve their lives since 2002.

Here are just a few of the thousands of comments we have received from those involved with the LIFE programme:

"The LIFE course has been instrumental in supporting some of our most vulnerable or demotivated students. It has raised their self-esteem and taught them to value team work and discipline." - Marshalls Park School, Havering

"I have enjoyed the course and I like their way of teaching. I prefer it a lot more than school...The consequences sessions have made me think about the long term impact of my actions." - a LIFE participant, Clapham

"I never thought Deanne could do this course, but wow! I am very proud of my daughter and can only thank the staff and organisers of LIFE course for helping her achieve so much in so little time." - father of a participant, Wembley
