How to prevent firesEighty-one per cent of fires in the home are accidents and these can be stopped by following some simple fire prevention steps. Here is a list of the most common causes of fire in the home and how to stop them from happening. Although having a working smoke alarm will not stop a fire from happening, it may give you time to escape safely if a fire does start.
