Fire safety training for bus and coach operatorsThis half-day fire safety course is aimed at people who drive mini-buses, coaches and similar vehicles, and passenger assistants (i.e. people who often have to operate as ‘lone workers’). Course overviewIt provides a comprehensive look at the preventive and reactive fire safety measures drivers can adopt in striving to create a safer environment for both staff and passengers. The course material and handouts are used with current legislation and guidance.

The training aims are designed to enable drivers and passenger assistants to meet the training requirements described within current legislation and guidance. DatesCourses are available throughout the year (subject to conditions) CostFull details are available from the course price structure web page. Alternatively, the Unit can be contacted using the above details. DurationHalf day. VenueLondon Fire Brigade Training Centre venues at Southwark, London SE1 (how to get there). Training can also be arranged at alternative venues or at your own premises – subject to conditions (see price structure for details). On completion, delegates will receive a certificate valid for two years. Training notes and light refreshments will be provided. Who should attend?All transport-related staff will benefit from the training, particularly new drivers and their managers. The module is especially useful to those members of staff with a fire safety designated responsibility. It is also valuable for those individuals intending to undertake the London Fire Brigade Fire Warden Course as an extension to their professional development. Programme
