Fires, and fire related deaths and injuriesPerformance information for fires, fire deaths, and fire related injuries in the home. Fires
Primary fires (serious fires) are those recorded on the government's fire damage report (FDR1) form, and are defined as an event of uncontrolled burning involving flames, heat or smoke involving property, or casualties or rescue, or fires attended by five or more appliances.
Secondary fires (smaller fires) are fires in a non-property location that did not involve injuries but do include chimney fires. ![]()
