How you can plan for emergencies

The government has produced an information booklet 'Preparing for Emergencies - What you need to know' for every home in the UK.

It gives practical common sense advice on what to do in an emergency - for example, a fire, terrorist attack or natural disaster.

The Government, working with a range of experts including the emergency services, MI5, the Chief Medical Officer, the Red Cross and the Emergency Planning Society, developed this booklet.

How you can prepare for the risks described in your Community Risk Register

A Community Risk Register (CRR) describes the risks in a local area. You can find out more information and download the CRR for your area.
