Salary: £68,030 to £84,506 per annum

London Fire Brigade is recruiting to the role of Deputy Assistant Commissioner.  Successful applicants will form a pool of candidates to be appointed as vacancies arise.  

To apply for the role you must be a substantive Group Manager, Group Manager on development, or have passed the national Strategic Management Assessment Centre or equivalent.

Assessment process:
The assessment process will comprise the following stages.  Please note that a sift process will be undertaken after each stage:        

  • Stage 1:  Evidence based application form against Personal Qualities and Attributes – to be completed by 0900 hours on 26 March 2010.  Ability tests will follow.
  • Stage 2:  Assessment development centre consisting of a range of role related exercises.  This will be held from 4 May – 21 May 2010. 
  • Stage 3:  Strategic awareness interview and incident command assessment, scheduled for June 2010.
