The Standards Committee meets to promote and maintain high standards of conduct by members of the Authority and its committees. It is responsible for a wide range of matters relating to The Authority’s Code of Conduct, including advising the Authority on its adoption and revision, providing training and assistance to members on its observance, monitoring its operation, considering and granting dispensations and investigating complaints which allege breaches of the Code.
The Chair (Mr Alan Simcock) and one other member (Mr Ian Pocock) of the Standards Committee are individuals not connected with the Authority or its business.
