London Fire Commissioner Ron Dobson will join Councillor Brian Coleman the Chairman of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority which runs the Brigade to answer questions from London Assembly members at City Hall on Wednesday 3 December.
The questions that will be asked at the Police and Fire services London Assembly (Plenary) meeting, range from the Authority’s budget savings proposals to fire safety in schools and the future of the Authority’s public affairs agenda.
Chairman of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Councillor Brian Coleman said: “This is a challenging time for the London Fire Brigade. As with all public sector organisations we must continue to deliver and where necessary improve our services, but do so without placing further financial burden on the public we serve.
“I thoroughly welcome these opportunities to inform all of those responsible for making London a safer city about the Authority's work and our priorities. It’s vitally important for the Mayor and all of the London Assembly members to be fully aware of the issues faced by the London Fire Brigade in providing the fire and rescue service for the capital.”
