The Mayor of Barnet, Cllr John Marshall visited two of Barnet’s fire stations last Wednesday (29 October), to learn about the work of the Borough’s firefighters.
Cllr Brian Coleman AM FRSA, Chairman of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, accompanied him on his visit, introducing him to firefighters and showing him the specialist fire and rescue equipment in use at Hendon and Mill Hill fire stations.
“I was very pleased to welcome our Mayor to our local fire stations, as building strong relationships with our partners is key to keeping Londoners safe.” said Cllr Brian Coleman. “By working together we can highlight, prepare for and tackle risks like terrorism, that have the potential to affect us all.”
