The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Louise Hyams, and Leader of Westminster City Council, Cllr Colin Barrow CBE, visited Westminster’s three fire stations last Thursday, to learn about the work of the Borough’s firefighters.
Cllr Brian Coleman AM FRSA, Chairman of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, accompanied them on their visit, introducing them to firefighters and showing them the specialist fire and rescue equipment in use at Soho, Westminster and Paddington fire stations.
“I was very pleased to welcome such important local figures onto our fire stations, as building strong relationships with our partners is key to keeping Londoners safe.” said Cllr Brian Coleman. “By working together we can highlight, prepare for and tackle risks like terrorism, that have the potential to affect us all.”
