The Mayor of Ealing, Cllr Ian Green, visited two of Ealing’s four fire stations on Friday to learn about the work of the borough’s firefighters.
The Mayor was accompanied by leader of Ealing Council Jason Stacey and Ealing Council’s Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, Cllr Wolodymyr Barczuk.
Chairman of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Cllr Brian Coleman AM FRSA, introduced the visitors to firefighters at Ealing and Northolt fire stations. As well as touring the two stations and discussing community fire safety issues, the visitors were given a demonstration of fire rescue equipment by Northolt fire crews.
“I was delighted to welcome the Mayor, Cllr Barczuk and Cllr Stacey onto our fire stations. Forging close relationships with partners, such as borough councils, is a key part of keeping Londoners safe. By working together we can get across vital safety messages to those residents who are most at risk of fire in the local community,” said Cllr Coleman.
