Campaigns

Fires are rubbish

Last year there were over 8,000 fires in London caused by rubbish. They start easily, and a large number of them are started deliberately.

Fire safer cigarettes

Fires caused by smokers’ materials are more likely than other domestic fires to cause death or serious injury. LFB campaigned with other organisations to ensure that all cigarettes sold in the UK meet a fire safer cigarette standard.
