Colin Tandy has served as a Member of Bexley council since 1974.  Notably, he is a former Mayor and former cabinet member for Education and Leisure Services.  Colin was appointed to the post Greater London Council, London Fire and Civil Defence Authority until 1994, serving as Leader for a time, then was appointed to LFEPA in 2002 serving until 2008 including as Vice Chairman for two years.  He led on the Headquarters Relocation Project which successfully culminated in the acquisition of the current HQ building at 169 Union Street.  He has now been appointed again to LFEPA by the Mayor.  Colin also serves on the Environment Agency’s Southern Regional Flood and Coastal Committee; through London Councils on the Greater London Employment Forum and the Greater London Provincial Council, and is a Member of Rochester Cathedral Council and a Freeman of the City of London.
