Wallington - flat fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flats in Brackley Close in Wallington.

Part a split level flat on the first and second floors of the building was damaged by fire. One woman left before the property before the arrival of the Brigade.

The Brigade was called at 1419 and the fire was under control at 1514. Fire crews from Wallington, Croydon and Purley fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
