Cricklewood - fire in scrap yard

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire at a scrap yard in Cricklewood Broadway, Cricklewood.

Approximately one tonne of waste was damaged by the blaze. Firefighters will remain there throughout the afternoon damping down pockets of fire.

The Brigade was called at 1229 and the fire was under control by 1508. Fire crews from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Hendon and other surrounding fire stations are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
