Beckenham - house fire

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Limewood Close in Beckenham last night (November 26).

The roof and first floor of the detached property were destroyed by fire. Part of the soffit and facia of an adjacent property was also damaged in the blaze.

One woman left the affected property before the arrival of the Brigade.

The Brigade was called at 2252 and the fire was under control at 0213. Fire crews from Beckenham, Woodside, Forest Hill, Addington, West Norwood and Bromley fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
