Wimbledon - flat fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house converted into flats in Queen’s Road, Wimbledon.

A small part of a ground floor flat was damaged by fire. One man left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and there were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 0637 and the fire was under control at 0803. Fire crews from Wimbledon, Tooting and Wandsworth fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
