Islington - flat fire

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a flat in Holly Park, Islington this morning.

A four-roomed flat on the third floor was damaged by the fire. Fifteen people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 0542 and the fire was under control by 0705. Fire crews from Holloway, Hornsey, Kentish Town and Islington fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
