Islington - house fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house under refurbishment in Compton Road, Islington.

Part of the first floor of the end-of-terraced property and a small part of the second floor were damaged.

One person had left the property before the arrival the Brigade and there were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1331 and the fire was under control at 1518. Fire crews from Shoreditch, Holloway, Islington and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
